Choquequirao, often referred to as the “Sacred Sister of Machu Picchu”, is an archaeological marvel that still retains its aura of mystery and charm. Unlike Machu Picchu, Choquequirao has not yet been overrun by large crowds, offering a more authentic and serene experience. The first day begins with a trip from Cusco to Cachora, followed by a hike to the Chaquisca camp. The second day takes us through breathtaking landscapes to the ruins of Choquequirao itself. The third day is spent exploring this archaeological site before returning to Chaquisca. Finally, the fourth day offers panoramic views of the Apurímac River canyon and concludes with a relaxing dip in the Conoc hot springs.
