– We will pick you up in the morning from your hotel in the center of Cusco and thus begin our adventure to the north of the region.
– The first place we will visit will be Chinchero, where we will visit a local community to see the Textile Interpretation Center. We will also take a guided tour of the Moray Archaeological Site, considered the Inca Agricultural Laboratory, and then we will pass through the town of Maras and also visit the Salt Mines.
– We will then head to the town of Urubamba, where we will have a buffet lunch of Peruvian cuisine.
– At midday, we will continue our journey to our restaurant in Urubamba. We will take advantage of the time to have a delicious and nutritious Nuevo Andean buffet lunch, from the exquisite cuisine of Cusco.
– Continuing with our tour we head to the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo, which in Inca times was a tambo or resting place, and is also the starting point for reaching the sanctuary of Machu Picchu. We explore its most important stone buildings, such as the great stone terraces, the Temple of the Sun and the Fountain of the Princess Baths of the time.
– On our return to Cusco we will head towards the town of Pisac. On arrival at the town we will climb up to the Pisaq Archaeological Site, which is built on top of a mountain.
– On our return to the town of Pisac we will visit its picturesque local craft market. The local people are experts at working with minerals and we will be able to do some shopping there.
– We will end the excursion by returning to the city of Cusco, the tour will end in the Plaza de San Francisco, at approximately 6:30 or 7:00 pm.
