Itinerary Uros, Amantani and Taquille Tour 2 Days 1 Night

ITINERARY

The tour starts at 8:00 AM with the pick-up of passengers from their hotels in Puno, and then we will embark towards the Floating Islands of the Uros, where we will learn about their culture and way of life.

After a visit of approximately 1 hour and a half, we will continue to Amantaní, where the local community will welcome us and we will stay in family homes. In the afternoon, we will take a walk to the temples of Pachatata and Pachamama, and in the evening we will enjoy a traditional festival with local music and dance.

The following day, after breakfast, we will set off for Taquile, where we will walk to the main square and visit the textile museum. We will have lunch at a local restaurant and then take a short walk before returning to Puno, arriving between 3:00 and 3:30 PM, where the tour ends with the transfer to your hotel.

Day 1 (Puno, Uros and Amantani)

DAY 01: PUNO – UROS –

AMANTANI

This tour of the islands lasts 2 days and 01 night. After 25 minutes, we will arrive at the Uros, where our guide will explain everything about the Uros for 1 hour and a half.

We will continue our journey on the same boat to the island of Amantani, where the local people will welcome us. Tonight we will stay at the home of a family where we will try the typical food of the area.

In the afternoon we will take a walk to the temple of Pachatata or Pachamama. In the evening, the family will give us a special welcome reception with a local music and dance show, which we call ‘Peña’.

Day 2 (Amantani- Taquille)

DAY 02: AMANTANI – TAQUILE – PUNO.

After breakfast we will continue our trip on the same boat to Taquile Island. Then we will walk for 1 hour to visit the town, the handicraft centre and the Taquile museum.

After lunch at a local restaurant on the island of Taquile (quinoa soup and grilled trout or egg omelette), we will take a short walk across the island to one of Taquile’s ports to board the boat and return to Puno, arriving at 3:00-3:30 pm, and transfer to your hotel.

Can you pay by card on the islands?

No, only cash in Peruvian soles is accepted, both for handicraft purchases and for lunch on Taquile.
