Embark on an unforgettable adventure through Peru with this comprehensive eight-day itinerary. You will start in Lima, where you will be met at the airport and taken to your hotel, followed by a fascinating city tour that includes the historic Pucllana Pyramid, the Historic Centre, and iconic monuments such as the Plaza Mayor and the Cathedral Basilica. Then, you will travel to Paracas and Ica to explore the Ballestas Islands, taste wines at the Nietto Winery, and enjoy the fun of sandboarding in Huacachina. In Cusco, you will discover the Temple of the Sun and the impressive Inca ruins, and explore the Sacred Valley, including Chinchero, Moray and Ollantaytambo, before visiting the majestic Machu Picchu. You will also experience the vibrant Rainbow Mountain and the serene Humantay Lagoon. On the last day, you will have time to relax and do some shopping before your transfer to the airport. A trip full of culture, history and amazing landscapes awaits you.
We will pick you up at the airport at the time of arrival to take you to your hotel.
Then we will start with the first tour, with a panoramic view of the Pucllana Pyramid, an ancient Inca ceremonial centre. Then, we will explore the Historic Centre of Lima, admiring more than fifty colonial monuments, including the Plaza Mayor and the Cathedral Basilica. We will also visit the Museum of the Central Reserve Bank, where pre-Columbian treasures are on display, and the Monumental Complex of San Francisco, famous for its catacombs. Finally, we will head to the contemporary area of Lima, where we will enjoy the main buildings and residential areas, such as Miraflores and the Parque del Amor (Park of Love).
We will depart from Lima for the spa town of Paracas.
On arrival we will go to the El Chaco jetty where we will depart for the Ballestas Islands in speedboats.
We will visit the Nietto Winery where you can taste wines, piscos, macerated wines and mistelas. You will also have time for lunch (not included).
In the afternoon we will arrive at Huacachina where we will take an excursion to the Oasis and its dunes.
We will also visit the Noelia chocolate shop where we will taste the typical sweets of the area. We will have a tour of dune buggies and sandboarding in the desert.
Later we will arrive in Chincha where we will taste wines, piscos, macerated wines and the great
variety of Chincha sweets at the Racimo de Uva. At approximately 7:00 pm we will be leaving for our return to Lima.
We will drop you off at the meeting point closest to your hotel.
We will pick you up at the airport at the time of arrival to take you to your hotel and give you the welcome briefing. You will have time to rest in the hotel lobby or your room until midday to start our first excursion: City Tour.
After picking you up from the hotel, we will start the tour heading for Qoricancha (Temple of the Sun). Then, we will depart for Sacsayhuaman, a majestic Inca archaeological centre. We will continue with Q’enqo, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay, all extremely important historical sites that form part of the 4 ruins of Cusco.
The tour of the Sacred Valley of the Incas includes a variety of archaeological sites full of culture and tradition. After being picked up from the hotel, we start the tour by visiting Chinchero, the capital of Andean textiles. Then we travel to the archaeological sites of Moray and Maras.
We will have lunch in Urubamba, before visiting the archaeological centre of Ollantaytambo and then taking the train to Aguas Calientes.
After having breakfast at the hotel, our guide will pick you up to start the visit to Machu Picchu.
You will get on a tourist bus to reach the llaqta of Machu Picchu, where you will have a wonderful tour. Then the return will begin, first arriving at Aguas Calientes, then at Ollantaytambo and finally at the centre of Cusco where the tour ends.
We will pick you up in the morning and head to the south of the city until we reach the district of Cusipata, where we will have a buffet breakfast. Then, we will travel for another hour to reach the starting point and begin the hike to Vinicunca mountain.
On the way back, we will return to Cusipata, where we will have lunch and then depart for the city of Cusco.
The Humantay Lagoon is a hidden jewel of the Andes, located at the foot of the Salkantay mountain. The tour starts in the morning, we will pick you up from the hotel and then take you to the town of Mollepata, where you will enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast. Then, you will walk with a tour guide until you reach this natural formation.
After the tour, we will return to Mollepata for lunch and then leave for the city of Cusco.
We recommend that you make the most of this last day to rest, take a stroll or buy some souvenirs. We recommend that you take your return flight in the afternoon/evening. We will pick you up and take you to the airport at the scheduled time.
