07:00am – We will pick you up from your hotel and then start our tour.
Our first visit will be to the Volcanoes Viewpoint in the district of Chiguata; we will
reach it in about 45 minutes; from there we will be able to see
our representative volcanoes and take photos. Afterwards
we will arrive at the town of Chiguata and visit the main square where the traditional
Church of the Holy Spirit is located. Afterwards, we will enjoy a traditional local breakfast. Then we will continue
on our way and, after about an hour’s drive, we will stop at Alto Simbral (4200 meters above sea level) where
we will be able to observe local plants such as queñua, yareta, tola, etc. Continuing on our route we will arrive at the
Laguna de Salinas where we will stay for between 1 hour and 1 hour 30 minutes, making various stops to
observe flamingos, Andean geese, the mirror-like surface of the water (from January to March), and vicuñas, llamas and alpacas
(all year round). In the dry season (April to December) we will visit the salt extraction centers where imagination is
essential for taking spectacular photographs. Then we will head towards the Lojen Mini Volcano and the
Lojen Hot Springs to enjoy a relaxing bath. Finally, we will return to Chiguata for lunch and then
we will start our return journey to the city of Arequipa.
